The short version

• New accounts receive a 14-day trial of paid features. No credit card is required.
• After the trial, you can stay on Free with 3 decodable stories each month.
• Individual is $20 per month or $200 per year.
• Schools & Tutoring Centers is $1,000 per building per year.
• Enterprise uses custom pricing for districts and multi-building groups.

Start with the 14-day trial

When you create a new Cody Reading account, the trial gives you access to paid features for 14 days. You do not need to enter a credit card.

When the trial ends:

• your account changes to Free;
• your existing students, stories, and lesson plans stay in your workspace; and
• you can upgrade later if you choose.

Free

Cost: $0, with no time limit.

Free includes:

• 3 decodable stories per month;
• phonetic pattern matching; and
• one user.

The monthly story allowance resets for a new month. Paid creation features such as the AI Assistant, lesson plans, worksheets, packets, word lists, and Reader’s Theater are not included after the trial ends.

Individual

Cost: $20 per month, or $200 billed once per year.

Annual billing saves $40 compared with paying $20 for 12 separate months.

Individual is intended for one reading specialist, tutor, or classroom teacher. It includes:

• unlimited decodable stories;
• the AI tutor chat;
• lesson plan generation; and
• the paid creation tools available on the Cody Reading platform.

Individual does not include invitations for additional team members.

Schools & Tutoring Centers

Cost: $1,000 per building per year.

This plan includes everything in Individual, plus:

• invitations for tutors and assistants;
• centralized billing;
• shared student rosters; and
• onboarding support.

The price is per building. A district or organization with several buildings should ask about Enterprise instead.

Enterprise

Cost: Custom volume pricing.

Enterprise is intended for districts and multi-building organizations. It can include everything in the Schools & Tutoring Centers plan, plus:

• multi-building deployment;
• an integrated scope and sequence;
• single sign-on and other IT integrations;
• white-label branding; and
• a dedicated implementation manager.

Upgrade or manage a subscription

Open your account menu in the top-right corner.

• On a Free or trial account, select Upgrade or open the pricing page to choose Individual.
• On an Individual plan, select Manage plan, then Manage billing to open the billing portal.
• For a school or Enterprise plan, use the contact option shown on the plan.

If a partner or school provides your Cody-powered platform, Cody’s public pricing and upgrade page may be hidden. Ask that organization about its plans.
